Carol Cullen received an e-mail from the Philadelphia Eagles saying she would be receiving a Super Bowl 52 ring. Cullen thought she had received the e-mail in error, she was fired by then head coach Chip Kelly in 2014.

Cullen had worked for the Eagles since 1985 and had worked under seven different head coaches during that span. Her tenure came to an abrupt end when Kelly told her her services were no longer needed when he became coach in 2014.

"Chip just said my job was no longer needed," Cullen told espn.com. "It was very difficult. I had no idea it was coming, so it was very emotional for me. And it took me a while to get over it and get used to another life, really, because when you work in football like that, it's not 9 to 5 -- it's seven days a week, and I loved every minute of it."

Even though Cullen was no longer officially employed by the Eagles, an Eagles employee confirmed to her that yes, she would be receiving a Super Bowl ring for her dedication to the franchise.

Her niece, Brianna Wristbridge, posted an image of Cullen's ring on Twitter.

The rings, made of pure 10-karat white gold, have 219 diamonds and 17 green sapphires.
