CRAIG HOPE'S MATCH REPORT - MIDDLESBROUGH 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

MATCH REPORT: Middlesbrough gambled when they signed prolific 10th-tier striker Lewis Wing - but his first goal for the club suggests they have backed a winner.

The 23-year-old netted a stunner to send Tony Pulis’ side into the last eight of the League Cup.

Two years ago he was playing for Shildon in the Northern League and Boro made their move after he smashed 37 goals in one season.

FULL TIME - MIDDLESBROUGH 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

Middlesbrough have knocked out Premier League Crystal Palace. Lewis Wing's stunning strike in first half stoppage time has proved to be the difference.

Tony Pulis claims an impressive win over his former club while it is another evening to forget for Roy Hodgson.

21:54
ADAM CRAFTON'S MATCH REPORT - ARSENAL 2-1 BLACKPOOL

MATCH REPORT: Much like his frizzy-haired look-alike David Luiz, Arsenal's young midfielder Matteo Guendouzi demands attention. He is a player of true promise, who stamps his personality all over a football match.

Yet Guendouzi is only 19-years-old and he retains the exasperating capacity to veer from the sublime to the absurd at a moment's notice.

This was the case on an evening that seemed to be going swimmingly for the young Frenchman.

SAMI MOKBEL'S MATCH REPORT - WEST HAM 1-3 TOTTENHAM

MATCH REPORT: Nothing lifts the gloom over Tottenham quite like a win over West Ham.

Defeat against Manchester City on Monday, not for the first time this season, raised questions marks over Tottenham’s staying power.

Two days later, they are in the League Cup quarter-finals, courtesy of two goals from Heung-min Son and another from Fernando Llorente.

RIATH AL-SAMARRAI'S MATCH REPORT - CHELSEA 3-2 DERBY

MATCH REPORT: Drunk on love? How else to explain this bonkers, hand-in-hand singalong that only briefly took on the appearance of football match?

The bare fact is that Chelsea won. On they go, into a quarter-final and a shot at a pot. But they didn’t so much kick Frank Lampard out of the competition as give him a kiss on the cheek and offer a sincere apology.

The affection was relentless, starting with the banners and continuing with the chants of ‘super, super Frank’ every 10 minutes or so from start to finish. He would wave, they would wave back, sweet nothings whispered to and fro long into the night.

21:48
87 mins: Palace still trailing

No sign of an equaliser coming for the Eagles as we approach the final stages of the contest. A defeat here would compound Palace's misery, given their poor run of results in the Premier League.

21:47
Quarter-finals draw to come

A reminder that the draw for the Carabao Cup quarter-finals is still to come this evening and you can also follow that with us right here.

21:44
Frank Lampard tipped to feel Blue once again

Frank Lampard’s Derby may have lost to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup fourth-round tie but his fledgling managerial career is already turning heads.

And after his strong start in his first job, he's now favourite to be next Chelsea boss, according to betting intelligence site http://www.bookmakers.tv.

Punters have sat up and noticed Super Frank making waves in Championship and beating Manchester United in the last round of the Carabao Cup - and believe there is only one place he will end up next, back at Stamford Bridge.

Since the start of the season there has been a spike in support for the 40 year old to manage Chelsea next, with his odds coming in to just 6/1 (from 10/1).

You can also get 3/1 on Lampard to gain promotion with Derby this season - but beating Chelsea seems a step too far, with the Rams priced at 14/1 to claim another famous upset.

21:42
81 mins: Still playing at the Riverside

Around 10 minutes still to play at the Riverside Stadium and Middlesbrough still lead Crystal Palace 1-0.

Wilfried Zaha hasn't travelled north and Roy Hodgson's side have managed just two shots on target against the Championship side.

Can Tony Pulis hold out for a memorable win against his former club.

21:41
FULL TIME

Arsenal 2-1 Blackpool

West Ham 1-3 Tottenham

The Gunners avoid a scare against the spirited League One side and hold out for an important win, while Spurs also pick up a much-needed victory thanks to Son's double and a third from Llorente.

21:40
Lampard given standing ovation

As he makes his way around the pitch to applaud both sets of fans, Lampard receives a standing ovation from all four corners of the ground. He comes back out from the tunnel area to thank them once again, gives supporters the thumbs up and then heads down the tunnel. Lovely scenes.

21:39
KIERAN GILL AT THE LONDON STADIUM

A pitch invader runs on to the field from the West Ham end just as Tottenham prepare to take a corner. He causes a pause in play. Once removed by stewards, Tottenham take their corner and score through Fernando Llorente. Bravo to that imbecile.

Another pitch invader... this one wearing a Scream mask. Someone make a pun up for me please.

21:36
FULL TIME - Chelsea 3-2 Derby

Chelsea progress to the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup thanks to Cesc Fabregas' first-half winner. It was a spirited performance from Derby but they just fell short and two own goals in the opening 45 minutes certainly didn't help.

Lampard will be pleased with his team's performance.

21:35
Into stoppage time

Final few moments for Derby to snatch an equaliser at Stamford Bridge...

21:32
88 mins: Off the post!!

A lovely ball from Marriott finds Nugent in on goal. He fires across Caballero but his shot smacks the post and falls into the goalkeeper's arms.

21:30
85 mins: Straight red card for O'Connor

Blackpool's goalscorer O'Connor has now been sent off for a foul on Aubameyang. The defender produced a shocking challenge from behind on the Gabonese striker and is rightly sent for an early shower.

21:28
84 mins: Good chances for Derby

Keogh thinks he's scored for Derby but Caballero manages to block his effort from close range. Mount then tries his luck from distance put the Argentine saves that as well.

21:27
83 mins: Dangerous free-kick for Derby

Emerson goes into the book for a foul down the left side. It gives Derby a free-kick in a dangerous position but Mount's delivery is cleared by the hosts eventually.

21:26
ADAM CRAFTON AT THE EMIRATES
21:25
81 mins: SUB - Nugent & Forsyth on, Wilson & Malone off

Lampard makes his final changes and throws on Nugent and left back Forsyth. Can they conjure anything up?

21:24
80 mins: Morata misses two headers

Two good chances for Morata to add another for Chelsea but both of his headers are kept out. Double change for Derby now...

21:22
77 mins: SUB - Azpilicueta on, Zappacosta off

Final change for the hosts sees Sarri opt to add some fresh legs to his back line.

21:20
75 mins: GOAL! 3-1 Tottenham - Llorente

Should be game over for Spurs now. Fernando Llorente has added a third for Spurs with a volley from a Christian Eriksen corner.

21:17
71 mins: GOAL! 2-1 West Ham - Perez

The hosts pull one back with 20 minutes to play. A corner flies all the way across to the back post where Perez is waiting to glance the ball over the line. Game on!

21:15
KIERAN GILL AT THE LONDON STADIUM

On another night, West Ham might have punished Mauricio Pochettino's decision to make so many changes. Just not going in for them tonight... so far. They did come back from 2-0 down last season, after all.

21:15
71 mins: Mount strikes from distance

The visitors are trying to build some momentum again and Mount tries his effort from distance. It just whistles past the near post after a deflection. The corner comes to nothing again though.

21:12
68 mins: SUB - Pedro on, Loftus-Cheek off

Another change from the Blues now with Pedro coming on. The Spaniard was taken off at Burnley on Sunday after 30 minutes but is thrown into the action tonight.

21:10
67 mins: GOAL! 2-1 Blackpool - O'Connor

The League One side have cut the deficit in half. A powerful header back across goal from Paudie O'Connor finds the bottom corner.

21:09
65 mins: SUB - Luiz on, Christensen off

Change in the heart of the Chelsea defence now. Not sure what that says of Sarri's opinion of Christensen.

21:08
63 mins: Derby corner

Something for Derby fans to cheer now as Bennett wins a corner with his first touch.

Wilson exchanges a short pass with Mount but his cross is cleared away and then Loftus-Cheek wins a foul to slow Derby's momentum once again.

21:05
61 mins: SUB - Bennett on, Waghorn off

Lampard makes the first change of the evening and tries to find a spark his team need to overturn the deficit once again.

21:04
60 mins: Cahill should score

Cahill has a chance to make amends for his mistake earlier on. He heads an in swinging corner down into the ground but it doesn't quite have enough power to trouble Carson.

21:00
55 mins: Guendouzi sent off!

After setting up the opening goal, the French youngster has received his marching orders. He was given a second yellow card for pulling back a Blackpool player.

20:59
54 mins: GOAL! 2-0 Tottenham - Son

Son strikes again for Spurs who look as though they are going to ease some of the pressure on themselves at West Ham. The South Korean latches onto Alli's pass, rounds Adrian and slots into the net.

20:54
50 mins: GOAL! 2-0 Arsenal - Smith Rowe

It is a second of the evening for the Gunners and 18-year-old Emile Smith Rowe has doubled their lead. The youngster finished well after Jenkinson's cross from the left was clawed back out to danger by the goalkeeper.

20:50
45+3 mins: GOAL! Middlesbrough 1-0 - Wing

Is there a shock on the cards at the Riverside?

The Championship side are ahead in the third minute of first half stoppage time. Lewis Wing has put Tony Pulis ahead against his former club with a thumping strike.

Celebrations have barely died down before the half time whistle sounds.

We are also back underway at the Emirates and London Stadium.

20:48
Back underway

Second half is underway at Stamford Bridge and there have been no changes from either side.

20:33
HALF TIME

The half time whistle goes and we can finally breath.

Exceptional 45 minutes of action, not from a defensive point of view of course, and the hosts lead 3-2. We have also reached the break at both Arsenal and West Ham with the scores finely poised at 1-0 in both.

20:31
30 mins: Not much to report from the Riverside

Still goalless after 30 minutes in Middlesbrough.

Sam McQueen has been stretchered off for the hosts though. He went down holding his knee after reaching to clear a dangerous-looking cross in the box.

20:27
39 mins: GOAL! 3-2 Chelsea - Fabregas

Scrappy goal but Chelsea are ahead once again. Loftus-Cheek's cross falls luckily into the path of Fabregas and the Spaniard thumps it into the back of the net with a first time finish.

Derby are protesting over something, possibly Morata's position in front of Carson or a foul on Tom Lawrence in the build-up., but it was checked by VAR and the officials are perfectly happy to let it go.

20:20
34 mins: GOAL! 1-0 Arsenal - Lichtsteiner

Fitting we should moan about the lack of attacking play at the Emirates, only for Arsenal to take the lead minutes later.

It is a first Gunners goal for Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner as he finished off a sublime ball from Matteo Guendouzi to give them the edge over their League One opponents.

20:18
32 mins: Sounds bleak at the Emirates
20:17
20:16
30 mins: Derby impressing

Credit must go to Derby for their willingness to get on the ball and play out from the back against one of the Premier League's big boys.

The intricate passing for that second goal was exceptional.

20:13
26 mins: GOAL! 2-2 Derby - Waghorn

What a start to this game!

Sarri will be disappointed with the defending on this goal though as it comes from a simple throw in down the right side.

Mason Mount, on loan from Chelsea, finds himself played through down the left and he fires a sublime ball square across the box for Waghorn to finish. He doesn't make any mistake this time though and we are back on level terms.

20:07
21 mins: GOAL! 2-1 Chelsea - Keogh OG

Dear oh dear. Lampard is in despair on the touchline after his other centre back has now gone and put the ball into his own net.

This time it's Richard Keogh who diverts another Zappacosta cross past the helpless Carson.

20:05
17 mins: What a chance for Derby

How are Derby not leading now?

Waghorn finds himself bearing down on goal with no defenders around him. He looks to be in two minds and as a result pokes a weak finish straight into the goalkeeper's hands.

20:03
17 mins: GOAL! 1-0 Tottenham - Son

Opening goal of the evening at the London Stadium and Spurs are in front.

On his 150th appearance for the club, Son Heung-min gives his team the lead with a powerful left-footed effort that flies into the roof of the net.

20:01
19:55
10 mins: GOAL! 1-1 Derby - Marriott

Lampard's boys are level from nowhere!

A poor pass from Gary Cahill allows Huddlestone to tackle and win the ball in midfield.

The veteran defender then slips over, allowing Huddlestone to feed Jack Marriott through on goal down the left and the boyhood Chelsea fan finishes excellently past Willy Caballero.

19:54
7 mins: Chelsea dominating

A winding run from Emerson down the left-hand side leaves Jayden Bogle in a heap on the floor but the defender's cross is a poor one.

The Blues come forward again though and Willian hits a shot from the edge of the box that deflects out for a corner. The resulting set piece is dealt with and Derby have the chance to get out.

19:51
5 mins: GOAL! 1-0 Chelsea - Tomori OG

Horrible moment for Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori who has put the ball into his own net. Zappacosta plays a weak cross into the box and the defender's attempted clearance cannons off his leg and beyond Scott Carson.

You've got to feel for the poor lad.

19:49
2 mins: Lively start from the hosts

There has been a zip to Chelsea's play in the opening few minutes. A fluid passing move culminated in Kovacic firing a shot on goal but he dragged it wide of the near post.

19:46
KICK OFF

We are now underway in the 7:45pm kick-offs.

A reminder Middlesbrough vs Crystal Palace will start at 8pm.

19:45
Respects paid to those who died in the Leicester helicopter crash

Both teams stand together around the centre circle to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the tragic Leicester helicopter crash on Saturday.

Foxes chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and fourth others lost their lives in the horrific crash that has shaken football to its core. A minutes' applause is now being observed around the grounds.

19:43
Huge applause for Lampard

Huge applause for Lampard from Chelsea fans as he makes his way out of the tunnel.

He shakes hands with most members of Maurizio Sarri's backroom staff before heading to the unfamiliar setting of the away dugout.

19:41
Teams about to make their way out

The teams are now emerging from the tunnel at Stamford Bridge with kick-off less than five minutes away now.

Stick with us for the latest updates from all four of tonight's games.

19:31
Changes galore at the Riverside

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson and Middlesbrough counterpart Tony Pulis have both made eight changes as they targeted a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Hodgson has retained only Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Andros Townsend and Jordan Ayew from the side which started the 2-2 Premier League draw with Arsenal at the weekend with star man Wilfried Zaha not even making the bench at the Riverside Stadium.

Pulis, as he has done throughout the competition, has handed chances to his fringe players and youngsters with Danny Batth and Grant Leadbitter joining Daniel Ayala, George Friend and Paddy McNair, who started Saturday's 1-1 Sky Bet Championship draw with Derby.

19:26
Players out to warm up

Just over 15 minutes to go until kick-off in three of tonight's four games and players are out warming up before action begins.

A reminder that Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough won't get underway until 8pm.

19:20

Chelsea have paid tribute to former player and manager Ken Shellito, who has died at the age of 78.

Shellito spent his entire playing career at Chelsea, making 123 appearances between 1959 and 1965 before injury struck, and managed the club in the 1977-78 season.

'Chelsea Football Club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of our former player and manager Ken Shellito at the age of 78,' said a club statement.

19:13
Alli and Eriksen back for Spurs

Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen will starte for Tottenham at London rivals West Ham.
Both players were substitutes against Manchester City on Monday following their recent returns from injury. There is no Harry Kane in the Spurs squad with manager Mauricio Pochettino making 10 changes from the City defeat.

West Ham, without suspended skipper Mark Noble, have made five changes from the side which drew 1-1 at Leicester with Adrian, Ryan Fredericks, Angelo Ogbonna, Pedro Obiang and Michail Antonio drafted in.

Before the match former Spurs defender Ledley King and ex-West Ham striker Tony Cottee will lay wreaths in the centre circle, prior to a minute's silence, as a tribute to Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash after Saturday's match.

19:05
Familiar faces in the Derby team

You may have noticed there are two familiar faces in the Derby team for those watching at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Chelsea gave Derby special permission to allow loanees Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori to play against their parent club.

Players out on loan cannot face their parent club in Premier League matches but can do in English Football League competitions, provided permission is given.

Chelsea say the experience of 'facing top-level opposition' will benefit 19-year-old midfielder Mount - called up to the England squad earlier this season - and defender Tomori, 20.

Will that decision come back to haunt them?

18:30

ADAM CRAFTON: Mauricio Pochettino insists he will not jeopardise his players’ welfare at the expense of silverware as the Tottenham manager suggested he may make 10 changes for Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie at West Ham.

Tottenham are under pressure to win a first trophy of the Pochettino era and the club’s first since the League Cup under Juande Ramos in 2008.

However, their derby at West Ham comes only 48 hours after Monday night’s defeat against Manchester City at Wembley on a dreadful pitch scarred by the weekend’s NFL action.

Ominous signs for Lampard and his team
18:11
Last time out

Derby produced the upset of round three when they eliminated Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United team at Old Trafford on penalties.

Lampard, who made 649 appearances and won three Premier League titles and the Champions League at Chelsea, has been rewarded with a tie at the club he spent the majority of his playing career with.

18:05
Quarter-final draw to come

After tonight's games we will of course have the draw for the quarter-finals.

Burton and Bournemouth are already through to the next round following victories last night while Manchester City play Fulham on Thursday.

Leicester's clash with Southampton is still to be re-arranged following the tragic death of chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

18:00
Good Evening!

Hello and welcome to Sportsmail's live coverage of tonight's four Carabao Cup matches.

The standout tie is undoubtedly at Stamford Bridge where Frank Lampard returns to his former stomping ground as a manager for the first time to take on Chelsea.

Elsewhere. West Ham host Tottenham in a London derby while Arsenal welcome League One Blackpool to the Emirates and Crystal Palace travel to Middlesbrough.

It may be Halloween but why don't you give the trick-or-treating a miss this time around and follow all the action right here.
