Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson after Harry Kane was ruled out for two months following an ankle injury – and Spurs fans are excited at the prospect of signing Wilson.

The Mirror claim Spurs may look to land the 26-year-old, after England skipper Kane suffered the injury on Sunday in the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United – with Marcus Rashford scoring the only goal of the game.

Spurs’ London rivals Chelsea and West Ham United have also been linked with a move for Wilson this month, with only a fortnight to go until the winter window’s deadline.

However, the Daily Mail may have priced any interested suitors out of a move for Wilson, by claiming that Bournemouth have slapped a whopping £75million price tag on Wilson.

Wilson has been in sensational form for Eddie Howe’s Cherries this season, scoring 10 goals and creating six more in his 23 league and cup appearances. He has a contract until the summer of 2022.

The former Coventry City and Tamworth striker’s excellent form even saw him make his England debut in November against the United States, in which Wilson scored to help the Three Lions secure a 3-0 win at Wembley.

Tottenham fans are desperate for their club to enter the window, rather than being stuck with Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen as options up front and are excited by the rumours surrounding Wilson.
