Rolando McClain is finally making a return to the NFL.

The 30-year old linebacker has secured conditional reinstatement from the league, according to Pro Football Talk, which cites unidentified league sources.

McClain was suspended for four games in 2015 for violating the league's substance abuse policy, then was suspended again for 10 games the following season for another violation. That suspension was made indefinite in 2016 after he failed another drug test.

"I'm nowhere near satisfied with how my professional career has gone," McClain told AL.com in July when he contacted the NFLPA about reinstatement to the NFL. "That's for myself. That's me looking in the mirror and talking to my boys. Nah, that's not the taste I want to leave in my mouth."

McClain was selected by the Raiders with the No. 8 pick in the 2010 draft. He made 245 combined tackles in 41 games with the Raiders and then he went on to record 167 tackles in his two seasons with Dallas from 2014-15.

McClain won the Butkus Award as college football's top linebacker in 2009 with Alabama.
