Attucks' Sincere McMahon named City Player of Year, Chris Hawkins named Coach of Year
Crispus Attucks senior Sincere McMahon was named City Player of the Year by a vote of the City coaches.
McMahon, a 6-1 Western Illinois recruit, is averaging 25.7 points, 4.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds for Attucks, which takes an 18-5 record into Wednesday’s Class 4A Sectional 10 game against Cathedral at Lawrence Central.
Attucks coach Chris Hawkins is the City Coach of the Year after leading Attucks to its first City tournament title since 1962. Hawkins, who led Attucks to the Class 3A state title in 2017, is 83-23 in his fourth season at the school.
