Buffalo wildlife has Bills' Brit Efe Obada concerned

Once upon a time, there was a pass rusher signed by the Buffalo Bills that knew exactly what he was getting into.

Mario Williams, a former first-overall pick and coveted free agent, inked a deal with the Bills. Some at the time asked why… what is there to do in Buffalo?

For Williams, an outdoorsman and hunter, Buffalo was a huge plus. He loved that he could do that in western New York.

In a twist, a current Bills pass rusher couldn’t be more of the opposite.

Efe Obada, who hails from across the pond in England, took to his social media account on Twitter this week to talk about… the wildlife Buffalo has to offer.

Obada, who entered the NFL via the league’s International Pathway Program, has previously played for teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. He’s learning some differences about Buffalo the hard way.

Obada sent out a message that he almost hit a deer driving his car recently. He’s not used to that but Obada quickly realized that… perhaps everyone else around him is used to it:

Obada better get used to looking both ways before crossing the street if he wants to stick around with the Bills. He might have reason to do so as well.

The Bills landed Obada via a one-year deal in free agency. Soon after, the Nigerian-born defender saw the Bills use their first two draft picks to select players at his position in Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham.

However, the 29-year-old still has a shot to make Buffalo’s 53-man roster, a very realistic one. The Bills often roll deep at the defensive line, keeping up to 10 players sometimes during the season. There could be spots.

Not to mention, Obada himself is coming off a career-best 5.5 sack season in 2020. He could just be turning a corner, something the Bills wouldn’t mind.
