After significant losses, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley received help from the Philadelphia Eagles' management in free agency

The Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line has been the foundation of the franchise's success in recent years, especially in 2024, when they managed to win the Super Bowl by defeating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles had tremendous strength in their offensive line, and the result was Saquon Barkley's outstanding season, as he was simply dominant in the ground game, recording 2,005 rushing yards in the regular season and 13 touchdowns.

Nick Sirianni's team has enough talent to continue competing at the highest level next NFL season, however, they have suffered several key losses on offense.

Offensive guard Mekhi Becton left the Eagles to sign with the Los Angeles Chargers, while Fred Johnson, who was the standout backup tackle, left the team to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Therefore, the Philadelphia management has begun working to add depth to the line.

The Eagles have signed Kendall Lamm

The loss of tackle Fred Johnson was a tough blow to Philadelphia, after he started five games last year and had standout performances. Now, he seeks to be a starter with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Now, with the goal of having a quality backup tackle behind their stars, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata, the Eagles have reached an agreement with Kendall Lamm for a one-year contract.

Lamm has played for the Houston Texans, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, and his last team was the Miami Dolphins. In the previous season, Lamm played 15 games with seven starts, participating in 511 offensive snaps and 63 on special teams.

In his NFL career, Lamm has played 119 games with several starts, so he will compete to be a quality backup for the Eagles, who have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.
