And the Cowboys have been urged to trade up to potentially land a superstar.

Ex-Colorado Buffaloes player Travis Hunter is a two-way star who is expected to go before Dallas is on the clock.

He could be the first two-way player in the league since Deion Sanders for the Cowboys.

And NFL Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah challenged Dallas to make an "aggressive" pick.

He tweeted, "I miss the days when the Cowboys were aggressive and fun.

"Spice it up. Trade up for Travis Hunter."

Hunter is on course to be a top-five pick in Green Bay next month.

The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick ahead of the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants.

The New England Patriots are fourth and the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5 overall.

Dallas finished 7-10 and third in the NFC East last year.

Jerry Jones' son Stephen claimed the team would be "selectively aggressive" in their bid to turn the franchise around.

Their main priority has been new contracts for their existing stars.

Dallas negotiated new deals with quarterback Dak Prescott and Ceedee Lamb.

But they have so far struck out in attempts to re-sign Micah Parsons.

The star pass rusher will play 2025 under the last year of his current contract unless a new deal is agreed.

Dallas will be led by new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, who was previously offensive co-ordinator.

He said, "Iron sharpens iron. Dak and I have an incredible relationship, just like I have an incredible relationship with all these guys.

"Dak and I know how to push each other's buttons, we know how to have a hard conversations.

"I laugh because I think about training camp last year, a ball got intercepted and we kind of had a thing in place where it was like if you throw an interception, you come out.

"And so I took Dak out and he's like, 'What?' He pushed back. The competitor in him is special."
