SALT LAKE CITY – In the second period against the Los Angeles Kings, Utah Hockey Club forward Lawson Crouse perfectly placed a shot from deep in the left corner to even the score at 1-1.
The goal was Crouse’s 11th of the season.
That is a PRETTY shot.
The amount of space he had to work with over Kuemper’s shoulder was incredibly small, but he was able to thread the needle. https://t.co/YMzjQgt1WQ

Off of feeds from Jack McBain and Josh Doan, Crouse looked for the angle from just above the goal line on the left side.
He was able to sneak the puck past LA goaltender Darcy Kuemper to light the lamp and spark a roar at Delta Center.
Looking back, the first period ended in a scoreless draw. After the first intermission, it didn’t take long for the Kings to strike first off the stick of Adrian Kempe. The Los Angeles goal hurt more than it should have as Utah held the shot advantage by a wide margin since early in the opening period.

The Hockey Club nearly got on the board first. However, Dylan Guenther’s goal in the first two minutes was wiped with an offsides call.
Fast forward to the second intermission, both defenses held strong to leave the score knotted at 1-1 with 20 minutes of action remaining.
The Utah Hockey Club continues its homestand and looks to extend its winning streak as they hosts the Los Angeles Kings tonight.
Utah ended its road trip with a 5-2 win in Chicago on Sunday and began its home stretch with a 3-1 victory over Calgary on Tuesday. As the 11th team out West, the postseason isn’t out of the question, but an appearance would require some big Hockey Club wins and equally big losses from other Western Conference foes.
The Kings also come into the match on a two-game winning streak, but their outlook on the final stretch of the season is much different. LA holds the fifth-spot in the Western Conference and has some breathing room between them and the Wild Card.
This is the third and final matchup of the season between Utah and Los Angeles. The Kings have yet to lose to the Hockey Club. However, both of the previous matchups took place at Crypto.com Arena.
