CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Tennessee Titans are reportedly sending general manager Mike Borgonzi and two assistant coaches — defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson and wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert — to Colorado for Friday’s pro-day workout for quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter.
This comes from ESPN NFL Nation reporter Turron Davenport, who added that Tennessee brass will have a private workout Wednesday, April 9 with Sanders. Many were already on hand last week for Cam Ward’s pro day.
Tennessee reportedly already had Ward lined up for a visit in Nashville at an undisclosed date.
What’s happening with the Titans, who own the No. 1 pick and New York Giants at No. 3, are important to the Browns with the No. 2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Here is the latest news and rumors involving those spots and elsewhere:

Titans could make up their minds in two weeks
Did coach Brian Callahan show his hand Monday during the NFL league meetings in Florida? He said a potential franchise quarterback is “priceless” and added the Titans were “probably two weeks away” from finalizing their decision on what to do with the top pick, according to Nick Suss of the Nashville Tennessean.
That could put them in line with having a decision made with a week before the draft.
Callahan emphasized the idea of franchise quarterbacks being priceless, which points to that being their move over a trade down.
“If there is a price being offered,” he said, “is that what you want to do? Is the quarterback worth passing on whatever that price would be? I think it’s mainly a quarterback-driven thing more than anything else.”
Kiper compares Sanders to … Chad Pennington?
How does drafting Chad Pennington sound?
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. compared Shedeur Sanders to the former New York Jets quarterback on UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio this week, noting Pennington fell further in 2000 than Kiper had him ranked in his class. Sanders is Kiper’s top quarterback this year.
NJ.com picked up on this comparison:
“Chad Pennington would probably be my comp for Shedeur,” Kiper said. “I loved Chad coming out. I even had him top-five on the big board. He ended up going 18 ... He went 18 to the Jets. Ended up playing in Miami. Had a really great career. Was he a Hall of Famer? No. But could you get to a Super Bowl with Chad Pennington? Yeah, you could have if you had a supporting cast around him.”
One quarterback already on the move
The New England Patriots traded backup quarterback Joe Milton III on Thursday to the Dallas Cowboys for a fifth-round pick in this year’s draft. New England tacked on a seventh-round with Milton in the trade, according to ESPN.
Milton became expendable for New England after it signed former Browns quarterback Joshua Dobbs last month in free agency.
