MADISON (WKOW) -- Local sports legends and familiar faces gathered at Madison College's H. Douglas Redsten Gymnasium on Saturday for the Easterseals Wisconsin Celebrity Basketball Experience.
The event is to raise awareness and money for people with disabilities.
Kids had the opportunity to participate in a basketball skills challenge run by former Wisconsin basketball coach Gary Close.
The skills challenge was followed by a basketball game.
The event hosts celebrity guests every year, with this year featuring several former Badger football and basketball players and NFL Hall of Famer Joe Thomas.
Easterseals Wisconsin board member, Andy Crooks, said even more celebrities showed up for Saturday's event.
"We got some racing sausages, Bucky Badger and Maynard the Mallard and just a fun-filled day raising awareness for Easterseals Wisconsin and helping people with disabilities from all over the state," Crooks said.
Crooks said his organization will be celebrating its 100th anniversary next year and hopes to keep the tradition going for the near future.
