NFL hosting community events in Green Bay throughout Draft Week

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - During the week of the 2025 NFL Draft, the NFL will host a series of community events taking place throughout Green Bay.
On Monday, April 21, the NFL will kick off its 2025 NFL Draft community events with a greening project to enhance green spaces at the Amelia Cornelius Culture Park in Green Bay.
In honor of Earth Day on Tuesday, April 22, dozens of local volunteers will participate in a large-scale cleanup project across the Fox-Wolf Watershed, a significant waterway in the Green Bay area.
Also on Tuesday, the NFL will host a Character Playbook Speaker Series – NFL Draft event. The event will bring together panelists from around the league, students local to Green Bay and students from across the country who have participated in Character Playbook to discuss themes found in the courses, Character Playbook – Building Healthy Relationships and Understanding Mental Wellness.
On Wednesday, April 23, the NFL will host its annual Play Football Prospect Clinic. At the event, top prospects in Green Bay for the 2025 NFL Draft will participate in a flag football clinic, engaging in and connecting with local Special Olympics athletes and youth football players. NFL Draft prospects, along with NFL Network Draft analysts Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, and Joel Klatt, will be available to the media following the flag football portion of the event.
On Thursday, April 24, Inspire Change, the NFL’s social justice initiative, will help address the digital divide needs of school children of the Oneida Nation. At the event, the NFL, Green Bay Packers, Oneida Nation and Oneida Reads will explore interactive stations focused on STEM and gaming with new devices, as well as participate in flag football drills led by USA Football.
The NFL also announced that, in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, will provide a joint $150,000 grant to non-profit Compudopt, which will gift nearly 500 new and refurbished devices to the district for student use in-school and at home.
The NFL also announced it will deliver pizza to the New Community Shelter on Tuesday.
On Thursday, Green Bay Packers Legend Clay Matthews will join Lowe’s red vest associates to support a new development located within Habitat for Humanity of Greater Green Bay’s Habitat Homestead.
In addition, this year in Green Bay, inspirational fans, community leaders and special guests will participate in the 2025 NFL Draft by announcing select picks live on stage. This year’s special guests will include representatives from NFL non-profit partners like the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Special Olympics, as well as NFL Salute to Service military charitable partners the USO, Tragedy Assistance Program For Survivors (TAPS), and the Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF). The NFL will also help grant wishes for two Make-A-Wish kids when they announce the first-round pick of their favorite teams on Day 1 of the Draft.

Service Members from Yokota Air Base (USO/Salute to Service), Pick 11, San Francisco 49ers
Service members stationed at Yokota Air Base in Japan will join remotely to tee up the San Francisco 49ers first round pick. This opportunity was facilitated through the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative with the USO and the Department of Defense. Salute to Service is the NFL’s year-round commitment to honor, empower, and connect with our nation’s service members, veterans, and their families.
Make-A-Wish, Pick 20, Denver Broncos
Make-A-Wish, Pick 30, Buffalo Bills
Two Make-A-Wish recipients will have their wishes granted when they join Commissioner Goodell on the NFL Draft stage to announce the selection of the first-round pick for their favorite teams – the Denver Broncos and Buffalo Bills. Granting wishes at the NFL Draft continues a long-standing history of support for the wish-granting organization that invites the world to join its mission every April known as World Wish Month.

Kenia D. and Marcellus C. (Boys & Girls Clubs of America), Pick 54, Green Bay Packers
As part of the NFL Inspire Change social justice initiative, the league will team up with Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay to have two local members announce their hometown team’s second round draft pick live on-stage. Kenia and Marcellus are both active Club members at the Thomas H. Lutsey Boys & Girls Club in Green Bay and frequently utilize the Club to connect with their community and peers. Recently, Kenia was named the Club’s “Youth of the Year” for her leadership and contributions to numerous community and service projects.
The Kube Family (Tragedy Assistance Program For Survivors (TAPS)), Pick 60, Detroit Lions
Surviving family members of United States Army Specialist Christopher Kube will announce the selection of the Detroit Lions’ second-round pick. As a proud member of the U.S. Army, Christopher was deployed to Iraq, where he was tragically killed in an IED explosion in July 2017 at age 18.
Christopher’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Combat Action Badge. Christopher grew up in Michigan and was a lifelong fan of the Lions, passionately cheering for his hometown team whenever he had the chance.
Xavier “X” Goff and Rionne “Ree” Turner (Special Olympics), Pick 84, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Xavier “X” Goff and Rionne “Ree” Turner will represent Special Olympics Wisconsin on the NFL Draft stage when they announce the Tampa Bay Buccaneers second-round pick. X and Ree are teammates on their local Unified flag football team, which provides opportunities for people with and without intellectual disabilities to play on the same team.
They participate in local Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools® programming, which promotes social inclusion through sports, leadership, and whole school engagement opportunities. The NFL and Special Olympics team up year-round to provide opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to get active through the league’s PLAY 60 initiative. Through this partnership, the NFL helps fund Unified Sports, including Unified flag football, which has emerged as one of the fastest-growing sports in Special Olympics.

Bowen (Dream on 3), Pick 118, Atlanta Falcons
The NFL and the Atlanta Falcons are teaming up with Dream on 3, an organization that helps make sports-themed “dreams” come true for kids and young adults who are living with life-altering conditions, at this year’s Draft.
13-year-old Bowen from Peachtree City, GA, will have his dream come true when he announces the Falcons’ fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Bowen is a devoted Atlanta Falcons fan and enjoys playing football and other sports with his friends.
Kevin Bubolz (Pat Tillman Foundation), Pick 226, Kansas City Chiefs
Through the NFL’s Salute to Service military charitable partner the Pat Tillman Foundation (PTF), the legacy of Pat Tillman will be honored at the 2025 NFL Draft by Tillman Scholar Kevin Bubolz. Bubolz will announce the 226th pick, which was Tillman’s draft selection in the 1998 NFL Draft.
Driven to serve a greater purpose in life, Kevin enrolled in the ROTC and became an Army aviation officer. During his military career, he developed a passion for mentoring and developing others, pursuing this calling by becoming an instructor pilot and commanding the Army’s only Chinook flight school.
During a deployment, Kevin’s unit was accompanied by a service dog that brought comfort to soldiers, reduced loneliness and even flew in his helicopter wearing specialized hearing protection. This experience inspired Kevin to share the benefits of animal-assisted therapy with others. Upon redeployment, Kevin certified his golden retriever as a therapy dog and began volunteering in the local community.
