Rob Gronkowski, the four-time Super Bowl champion and Fox NFL studio analyst, will hold an esteemed position at his first Indianapolis 500: grand marshal of the 2025 Snake Pit.

“I can’t wait for this year’s Indianapolis 500 on FOX,” Gronkowski stated in a news release from Indianapolis Motor Speedway. “Not only do I get to attend my first-ever Indy 500, I’ll do it in style as the grand marshal of the legendary Indy 500 Coors Light Snake Pit. This is one of the coolest combinations of sports and music out there and in the ultimate venue. I’m ready to get the party started and celebrate the biggest race in the world.”

Gronkowski enjoyed a decorated career as a tight end across two stints in the NFL. From 2010 to 2018, he played with the Patriots, winning three Super Bowls and being selected for five Pro Bowls. After a short retirement in 2019, Gronkowski joined former New England quarterback Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won another Super Bowl in 2021. The tight end was selected as part of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

He retired again in 2022 and works during the football season as a studio analyst for Fox Sports on Fox NFL Sunday and Fox NFL Kickoff. Through his family's Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, he helps kids achieve their potential through sports, education, community and fitness.

The 109th Indy 500 is scheduled for May 25. Indianapolis Motor Speedway previously announced that American dance producer Illenium will headline the 2025 Snake Pit in Turn 3 of the track's oval.
