On Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com reported that the Cleveland Browns signed former Miami Dolphins defensive back Nik Needham to a contract.

The 28-year-old spent six seasons in Miami after going undrafted during the 2019 NFL Draft. Needham — who played his college ball for the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) — first started a game for the Dolphins on October 13th, 2019 against the Washington Redskins.

During his tenure with Miami, Needham amassed 200 tackles, three sacks, six interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery while playing in 63 games and starting 27 of them. He only appeared in two games for the Dolphins in 2024, however.

With the rumored trade of starting cornerback Jalen Ramsey reportedly on the horizon, the Dolphins suddenly find themselves hungry for secondary help as the 2025 NFL Draft gets set to kick off this Thursday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

We will continue to keep you updated with all news regarding the Miami Dolphins as they attempt to fill out their roster ahead of the 2025 NFL Season.
