2025 NFL Draft rankings: Experts weigh in on top 150 prospects

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2025 NFL Draft is shaping up to be one of the harder drafts to predict in recent memory.

We know that Miami quarterback Cam Ward is likely the first overall pick, and that Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter and Colorado receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter are the clear top two non-quarterbacks in this class.

After that, the rankings for the rest of the players in this class are all over the place, depending on the draft analyst you prefer.

So to get a better idea of where players stand compared to their peers, we decided to combine the rankings of several of the top draft experts in the industry to create the cleveland.com Composite Top 150.

This is year No. 10 of our composite rankings and the third in a row that we have expanded the board out to 150.

In order to be used for this list, any rankings had to stretch out to at least 150. That means our list technically goes past 150 players.

In fact, we have exactly 200 players who were ranked in the top 150 by at least one of the rankings we compiled. Those full rankings will be at the bottom of this post where you can see who missed the cut for the top 150.

Here is the 2025 NFL Draft Composite Big Board, including how we create the board and the top 150.

Building the big board

If this is the first time you’ve seen one of our composite big boards, I’ll explain the process of putting it together.

Since there is always a lot of variation between how analysts rank players, we decided to combine them together to try and find a consensus. By using five lists, we’re trying to eliminate statistical outliers and create an accurate representation about how experts view this class.

Each player is given a score of 1-150 based on where they are ranked. The top player receives one point, with the second player getting two, and so on. Any player who doesn’t make the list gets a score of 151.

Then we add up all five scores and divide them by five to get the composite score. The lower the composite score, the higher the ranking.

All ties are denoted with asterisks.

One thing to know when reading the list is players with one asterisk next to their name are tied with other players with one asterisk directly above or below them. Players with two asterisks are in ties with players with two asterisks directly above or below on the list, and so on and so forth until there is a break in the list.

Ties are broken by the best individual ranking on any one list, or next best in case of one or more ties.

Players listed in an unbreakable tie, which means they have the same rankings across all five lists, are denoted in the PDF list below with their names underlined.

This year’s composite big board features the rankings of ESPN’s Matt Miller from April 14, PFF’s Trevor Sikkema from April 21, NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah from April 21, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler from April 21 and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. from April 22.
