Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce update emerges after adopting low profile

Celebrity couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen together for the first time in months, as it was announced that the two would be nominated for a Kids Choice Award

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were spotted together for the first time in months, celebrating with their families in Philadelphia this week, coinciding with the announcement of their nominations for a Kids Choice Award.

The Kansas City Chiefs' star player is up for Favorite Male Sports Star, competing against his teammate Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, among others. On the other hand, Swift has been nominated for Favorite Female Artist, sharing the category with Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Katy Perry, who recently embarked on an 11-minute space journey.

Swift also earned a nomination for Favorite Song for her track 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.' Kelce and Swift have maintained a low profile lately, seldom seen together since the former's Super Bowl loss in February when the Chiefs were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Over the past weekend, they attended a gathering with their family and friends in Philadelphia, home to the Swift family and Travis' older brother Jason Kelce, as they celebrated Mother's Day.

Following a whirlwind 2024 where Kelce clinched the Super Bowl with the Chiefs and Swift embarked on her global 'Eras' tour, the duo has been relatively out of sight in 2025 - seemingly managing to evade the paparazzi effectively.

Kelce and Swift are both savoring some serious downtime from their bustling careers. Kelce, the Chiefs' star tight end, won't be hitting the gridiron for intense training for another eight weeks, opting for a substantial offseason breather.

On the other hand, pop megastar Swift wrapped up an epic 18-month tour and stepped away from the limelight post-February. Buzz has it that after the 'Tortured Dead Poets Department,' she's secretly crafting tunes for a fresh album.

All eyes are on whether Swift will grace the Kids Choice Awards with her presence. The air is rife with whispers of a potential new album drop in the near future, especially since she's been musically quiet this year.

As for Kelce, following the Chiefs' Super Bowl agony, retirement rumors swirled, hinting his exit from the NFL might have been on the cards. His performance in 2024 was notably lackluster, failing to snag the spotlight as Mahomes' primary playmaker or leave a mark during the Super Bowl hustle.

Yet, in a turn of events, after much media speculation, Kelce squashed retirement talks by declaring his comeback to the field for the 2025 season. He dropped a candid confession: "I think the biggest thing is that I ------- love playing the game of football.

"I love playing. I still feel like I can play it at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year. I don't think it was my best outing.

"I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I've been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I got a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended last year, and how well I was playing, and how accountable I was to the people around me.

"I love so many people in Kansas City, both in that facility, in the community, and it's home for me now. I don't want to leave that life yet. I put in a lot of hard work, and I put in a lot of focus into being the best that I can for K.C. Last year, it didn't end well for us.

"I just feel like there's a responsibility in me to play out the contract that I initially signed, to give Kansas City and the Chiefs organization everything that I've got, and that's what I'm going to do, man."
