Former Lobo Trent Williams hosts annual Elite Football Camp at Lobo Stadium
LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Out at Longview High School, a familiar face made a re-appearance to Lobo Stadium.
Longview native and current 16-year NFL veteran Trent Williams hosted his annual elite football camp.
But dishing out a few pointers to the next generation of Lobos on the field isn’t the only thing that the 11-time Pro Bowler aims to accomplish.
“You just want to creat a competitive atmosphere,” Williams said. “...where guys can come out and you can give them little tidbits here and there,”.
“It’s all in the love of competition,”.
Showing the love for competition during the dog days of summer not the only thing bringing the three-time first-team All-Pro back to his hometown.
“I’m so proud to be from this part, from these parts of East Texas,” Williams said. “...And I’m so happy to see that it’s not just me. It’s not just the people who are from here to think like this,”.
“Everybody knows if you know anything about football, you know East Texas is where you find some of your best players,”.
The Lobos kick off the 2025 season at home against Lufkin on Aug. 29th, while Williams and the San Francisco 49ers kick off their 2025 season on the road in Seattle, taking on division rival Seahawks Sept. 27th.
