Julio Jones was the heralded hero for the Falcons on Sunday night after his touchdown in the fourth quarter helped seal Atlanta's 24-20 win over the Eagles.

While the 54-yard run was praiseworthy, it was how fast Jones was running that really impressed — at one point he was clocked at a whopping 20 mph.

“When (receiver Mohamed) Sanu kicked the guy out, it was pretty much a foot race,” Jones said, via the Falcons' website. “That was it. It was wide open, they been giving us those zero looks throughout the game and sooner than later, we made them pay. We made them pay earlier in the game on the one to (Calvin Ridley) and then to myself at the end of the game.”

The play came on fourth down with 2:20 left in the game. Matt Ryan threw a short screen to Jones, while offensive tackle Jake Matthews opened up a hole for Jones to sprint through.

“We ran a screen,” Matthews said. “We executed it really well, I tried to take a good release. (Mohamed) and (Julio) set it up perfect. I just had to do my job and know they would do the rest. I still don’t have my voice because I was yelling so loud. It was a good feeling.”

Jones now has the most receiving yards in Atlanta franchise history (10,868) after surpassing Roddy White's record and marked his sixth game in a row with a receiving touchdown, which is the longest active streak in the NFL.

With the win, the Falcons moved to 1-1 on the season, while the Eagles fell to 1-1.
