University of Kentucky Football Standout Wan'dale Robinson Donates NIL Proceeds To Non-Profit

LEXINGTON, KY, UNITED STATES, September 22, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Wan’Dale Robinson, Wide Receiver for the University of Kentucky, has chosen to use his Name, Image, and Likeness to give back to his community. Moving forward, he will be donating a portion of all endorsements to the Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Frankfort, Kentucky. The foundation, which is named for his late grandmother, is on a mission to support children and youth impacted by incarceration.

“This is personal to me. My father was incarcerated during my childhood. I want kids to know that they have opportunities for success despite their situation. I was fortunate enough to have support from mentors and family that helped me understand the importance of graduating high school and setting future goals. Many kids across the state may not have the same kind of positive support which I received. I look forward to partnering with businesses throughout our community as well as working with Legislators in the Commonwealth to gain support and effect positive change for young people who far too often go overlooked.” - Wan’Dale Robinson

Kentucky ranks third in the nation for incarceration. In fact, 12% of all Kentucky children have had a parent incarcerated, (Kentucky Youth Advocates 2020 Kids Count). The Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation was envisioned by Wan’Dale’s father, Dale Robinson, in 2018 to support kids and youth of the incarcerated. Their vision is to end the cycle of incarceration by providing children and youth with a Pathway of Hope and a vision for a successful future. They work towards this goal by providing mentorships for kids, resources for families, support groups, and much more. While they are based in Franklin County, they have already crossed county lines by working with many educators across the state of Kentucky. Future plans include being able to provide support to kids throughout the state. Learn more about the Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation and its mission at www.wjrfoundation.org.

“Part of success, to me, includes giving back to the community. I want our young people to know that they have opportunities and support and that they can be successful, which is why I’m supporting the Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation.”

Robinson is a Junior at the University of Kentucky. A national top 100 player, Robinson was an all-purpose star at Frankfort’s Western Hills High School.
